How to Use the Child Lock (The Two Main Types)

Most child locks operate in one of two ways:

1. The Twist-and-Lock Mechanism

This is the most common type.

• To Engage (Lock): While the trigger is in the resting (forward) position, twist the nozzle tip to the "Lock" position (often indicated by a padlock symbol ➕ or the word "OFF"). In this position, the trigger will be immobilized and cannot be pressed.

• To Disengage (Unlock): Twist the nozzle tip to the "Unlock" position (often an open padlock symbol or "ON"). You will now be able to press the trigger to spray.

2. The Push-Button or Lever Lock

This type features a separate button or sliding lever on the top or side of the sprayer.

• To Engage (Lock): Push the button or slide the lever to the "Lock" position. This physically blocks the trigger's movement.

• To Disengage (Unlock): Push the button or slide the lever to the "Unlock" position, freeing the trigger for use.
